Implementation Monitor welcomes Commission of Inquiry reforms introduced to Parliament

The Implementation Monitor has welcomed the introduction of the Commission of Inquiry (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2026 to the Tasmanian Parliament.

The Bill proposes changes to support the implementation of reforms arising from the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government’s Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings, including reforms aimed at strengthening protections for children and young people.

The introduction of the Bill is an important step in progressing the Government’s commitments to implement the Commission of Inquiry recommendations.
