Message from the Implementation Monitor
I am very pleased to present my Implementation Framework that sets out how my office will monitor, review and evaluate the Tasmanian Government’s implementation of recommendations from the Commission of Inquiry and other related reviews. The government has committed to big and complex child safety reforms - to better protect children and close the gaps in law, practice and culture identified in recent inquiries, reports and reviews.
The Framework sets out how I undertake this unique oversight role, including in reporting to the community, on the progress and completion of all recommendations and the effectiveness of the changes.
This work is designed to drive transparency. It is public facing and by necessity, outcomes focused.

We hope this Framework supports our aim of delivering the changes necessary to safeguard children and young people in Lutruwita/Tasmania - today, and for generations to come.
The Framework has been developed in the first year of the Office of the Implementation Monitor. It will likely be refined over time.
Its goal is to embed safer ways of working that the community can clearly see.
This transparent approach supports our vision: that children and young people are protected and safe in our institutions, and all victim-survivors are believed and supported.
